BBIT - Bachelors of Business & IT

The BBIT program is a dynamic four-year degree designed to integrate business acumen with cutting-edge information technology expertise. Spanning over eight semesters, this full-time program equips students with essential skills in both domains, preparing them for the rapidly evolving business and technology sectors. The curriculum is continuously updated to reflect industry needs and ensure that graduates are equipped with practical, relevant knowledge to succeed in their careers.

The mission of the BBIT program at IMS Lahore is to bridge the gap between business and technology, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to excel in both fields. We aim to nurture adaptable professionals capable of leading and innovating in a technology-driven business world.

Programs Objectives

The following are the key objectives of the BBIT program at IMS Lahore:

  1. To equip students with a strong foundation in both business and information technology, enabling them to effectively address complex challenges in the modern business world.

Program Outcomes

The following are the key outcomes of the BBIT program at IMS Lahore:

  2. Students will demonstrate proficiency in using emerging technologies to drive innovation and enhance business operations.
  3. Graduates will exhibit strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to tackle real-world issues in business and IT settings.
  4. Students will be able to effectively communicate technical and business concepts to diverse audiences, fostering collaboration and driving successful outcomes.
  5. Graduates will be equipped to lead and manage teams in technology-driven environments, contributing to organizational success.
  6. Students will develop a strong ethical foundation, ensuring responsible and sustainable practices in both business and technology fields.
  • Minimum 50% marks in Intermediate/12 years schooling/A- Level (HSSC)/F. Sc / F. A / I. Com /D. Com/DAE or Equivalent with Mathematics is required for admission in BBIT program.
    • *Equivalency certificate by IBCC will be required in case of education from some other country or system.
  • The students who have not studied Mathematics at Intermediate level have to pass deficiency courses of Mathematics (06 credits) in first two semesters.

The minimum duration for completion of BBIT degree is four (4) years and a maximum period of seven (6) years to complete BS degree requirements.

  • Degree Requirements are 2.0 CGPA and 125 credit hours.
  • EXIT/ENTRY Option
    • Students who successfully complete the first four semesters may be eligible to exit with an Associate Degree, subject to meeting all requirements, including 70 credit hours and a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
    • Students may join the 5th semester of the BBIT (4-year) program if they have completed at least 60 credit hours or hold conventional degrees with a minimum of 45%, subject to completing deficiency courses through a bridging semester and approval by the admission committee.
    • Exit case for an Associate Degree from undergraduate degree will be subject to approval by the institute’s statutory body.
